The FIREESCAPE™ HARNESS is a complete full body escape system for Firefighters that fits in your Bunker Pants Cargo Pocket or can be carried on a belt! It is with the Firefighter at all times if needed and can be donned in 30 seconds! You do not have to remove your gloves or SCBA, and only your helmet briefly and then you put it back on.
100% FREE REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE IF THE FIREESCAPE™ HARNESS IS EVER LOST OR DAMAGED DURING A DOCUMENTED EMERGENCY DESCENT OR EVACUATION!
STANDARD DESCENT RANGE OF 40 FEET! The provided standard Line Bag 40 contains 37 feet of STERLING EscapeTech 7.5 mm Line. It is the most compact NFPA certified line. With a sternal connecting point, the distance from your sternum to the floor is added to the total descent distance. With the ESS Patent Pending Pre-Wrapping Process to help prevent kinks and knots, this line pulls from the bag with very little resistance. The Line Bag 40 is for emergency descents only. It CANNOT be repacked in the field. Optional 60 and 150 feet Line Bags available for extended descents. Practice Stuff Bag 30 with 30 Feet Descent Range is provided with the FireEscape™ Harness for practice.
TOPPLING IS ELIMINATED! With the sternal connection point, you are always held in an upright position while descending, EVEN WITH SCBA!
CAN BE USED ON AN UNCONSCIOUS FIRE VICTIM, AN INJURED FIREFIGHTER, OR BY A FIREFIGHTER WHOS OXYGEN TANK HAS RUN OUT AND MUST EVAC. Slowed rate of descent is built into the FireEscape™ Harness using the 3EDS Rack Descender and is NFPA compliant. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MANUALLY OPERATE THE 3EDS RACK DESCENDER TO DESCEND. In an emergency evacuation, you have no time to be fumbling with a manual descender, especially if you topple. You need to get away from the danger ASAP, and a manual descender is useless for an unconscious fire victim or injured Firefighter.
KEVLAR BRAKE is extremely sensitive. Can easily hold a Firefighter in one position with very little effort if needed. Can be used to slow or stop your descent all the way to the ground.
EASY-GRAB BRAKE HANDLE is oversized to be easily grabbed with gloves and operated in an emergency.
CUSTOMIZABLE FOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL SIZE AND WEIGHT. Three different Line Configuration Levels to choose from for your specific weight and descent preference. These Line Configurations can be quickly changed by you in the field if needed. You must get to the ground as safely and as quickly as possible. The longer you are on a line, the longer you are in danger.
LIGHTWEIGHT at 5 lbs. 5 oz., that includes the FireEscape™ Harness of Kevlar Webbing, Line Bag 40 with 37 feet of Sterling EscapeTech NFPA Line, and the ESS FireHook™. And it all fits in your Bunker Pants Cargo Pocket or on a belt to be instantly used when needed!
THE FIREESCAPE™ IS NOT ONLY FOR EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS FROM BURNING STURCTURES. If you have a vehicle over a steep hill or if you need to go down into a hole after someone, you have the right equipment with you. The FireEscape™ can also be used for recovery if the victim is able. With a simple loop and a overhand knot between the 3EDS Rack and the Kevlar Brake, no additional line will be able to transition up through the 3EDS Rack. If the loop is made large enough, it can go around a victim's chest, and the first responder and the victim can both be pulled to safety at the same time. Use the Optional Extended Line Bags up to 150 feet if needed.
CERTIFIED TO NFPA BY UNDERWRITERS LABORATORY (UL).
