The FireEscape EDS™ (Emergency Descent System) is an emergency escape harness system for home, dorm, or office. It is light weight, fast to put on, and easy to use.
THE 1EDS RACK DESCENT CONTROLLER WITH THE SAMSON TECH-12, 1/4" LINE, HAVE BEEN CERTIFIED BY UNDERWRITERS LABORATORY (UL) IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANSI/ASSP Z359.9-2021, TYPE 6, STANDARDS.
The FireEscape EDS™ uses Samson Tech-12, 7,300 lbs., MBS, 1/4" 100% Technora Line that is very heat resistant up to 900 degrees. And with the ESS Patent Pending #63/668,958 Line Wrapping Process, the line is stored in a very small compact bag.

Order the length of line specific for your need. Select your length of line from the Descent Ranges dropdown menu.
Rule of Thumb - Number of floors you live on x 10, plus 10 feet. The plus 10 feet gives you extra line needed to anchor the line next to your escape window.
Example - 8 floors x 10, plus 10 feet = a minimum of 90 feet of Line needed. You would order 100 feet of line or more. If your floors are farther than 10 feet apart, you must use that distance in any calculation. Made in USA.

Home and Office FireEscape EDS™ Harness is industrial grade 5,000 lb. polyester webbing with Kevlar stitching. The line is heat resistant Samson Tech 12, 1/4" Technora line with a minimum breaking strength of 7,300 lbs. The Kevlar Brake is very sensitive and will slow or stop your descent with very little effort. The 1EDS Rack is a US Patented descending device made of 6061 Aluminum for strength and low weight.
Line Bags up to 100 feet are attached to the FireEscape EDS™ harness. Line Bags over 100 feet are not attached and will be dropped to the ground prior to an emergency descent.
